PPAP Automotive Limited ventured into the electric vehicle market by establishing a wholly owned subsidiary PPAP Technology Limited (“PTech”) in 2020. The facility is located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The purpose of PTech is to develop solutions for the mobility as well as energy storage system customers. PTech is developing its in-house designing capabilities, currently focusing on the battery pack solutions. PTech specializes in the manufacturing of high-quality lithium-ion battery packs, including Pouch Cell, Cylindrical Cell, and Prismatic Cell varieties. Apart from developing in house capability, PTech is also tying up with renowned institutions and technology start-ups to develop value added solutions for its customers.
The focus of PTech is to develop solutions for 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler customers. Apart from the mobility segment, PTech is also developing various solutions for energy storage systems like solar streetlights, backup power for telecom towers, UPS back up etc. Ptech deal in major chemistries like LiFePO4 & NCM to cater applications like E-mobility, Telecom, Medical instrumentation, GPS, industrial electronics, Solar, ESS, UPS and other applications engineering products.
PTech has installed its primary assembly line with a capacity of 150 MWh per year and is planning to increase this capacity to 250 MWh per year.
